Website Design That gets Results (and Looks Reyt Good!)

A good-looking website is great. A good-looking website that helps people find what they need and take action? Even better.

We’re a web design agency based in Wakefield and Leeds, working with businesses across West Yorkshire and nationally. For almost 20 years we’ve designed websites for local SMEs, Wakefield and Leeds based organisations, and national brands including Trinity Walk, CML and Fusion Students. Whatever the size, the approach is the same; research first, design second, and always with the end user in mind.

We start with proper research and planning, then design clean, modern interfaces that work across mobile, tablet and desktop.

All in the design

  • Clear journeys and calls-to-action
  • Mobile-first layouts that feel effortless
  • UI design that matches your brand
  • UX decisions backed by research
  • Design systems that stay consistent
  • Prototypes you can test before build

What you’ll get

We cover everything from sitemaps and wireframes to full UI design, component libraries, and page templates. If you’ve got a dev team already, we’ll hand over designs in a way they’ll actually thank you for.

How we work

  • Discovery and goals: what users need and what success looks like
  • Sitemap and wireframes: structure before style
  • UI concepts: look, feel, type and colour
  • Page templates and components: consistent building blocks
  • Prototype and feedback: test flows before build
  • Final design ready for development

If your website feels dated, hard to manage or doesn’t convert, book a discovery call or get in touch and let’s get it sorted!

Your Questions Answered

Usually, yes. Design sets the direction. If you need build included, we’ll roll straight into development.

Aye. Sometimes you don’t need a full redo—just clearer journeys, better layouts, and stronger calls-to-action.

Yes. We use a mix of stakeholder inputs, competitor review and common user-journey best practice to shape the structure.

Yes. We design to WCAG 2.1 AA standards as a baseline, that means proper colour contrast ratios, clear heading structures, and layouts that work with screen readers. It's not just about compliance; accessible design is almost always better design. We've built accessible websites for public sector organisations including Wakefield Council and Leeds City Council, so we know what's expected.

Yes. Prototypes help avoid expensive surprises during build.

Perfect. We’ll work within them and create a digital design system that stays consistent.

Yes. We’ll hand over designs cleanly, with components and notes so the build stays true to the design.

Good conversion design reduces cognitive load. That means clear hierarchy, one primary action per page and trust signals in the right places. We look at the user journey before planning our layouts, so every design decision serves a purpose rather than just looking nice. If someone lands on your page and can't immediately work out what you do and what to do next, something's gone wrong. We make sure it hasn't.

Aye. We've got access to meeting rooms and shared work spaces in Wakefield (Tileyard North) alongside our main office in Leeds (White Rose Park). Most project work is managed remotely with everything shared clearly through the process, but we're always happy to meet face-to-face. There's something to be said for sitting down with a local team who actually understands the market you're working in.

The design phase for a typical business website runs 3 – 5 weeks including the wire-framing stage. This depends on how many page templates are needed, ho complex the design is, if we have clear brand guidelines or are designing brand assets from scratch, how quickly feedback comes back, and how much content is already prepared. We'll set clear milestones at the start so you know what's happening and when.

Discovery
Before we open a design tool, we'll spend time getting to know your business, your audience and what you're actually trying to achieve. We'll look at your competitors, review what you've got, and ask the questions that help us make smart decisions rather than pretty ones. If there's a brief, great. If not, we'll help you build one.

Research and planning
We map out your user journeys before anything is designed, working out how visitors will move through the site, what they need to find, and where you want them to end up. This stage shapes everything that follows. Skipping it is how you end up with a website that looks good but converts badly.

Wireframes
Wireframes strip out the visual noise so we can focus on structure, hierarchy and flow. We'll share low-fidelity layouts of your key pages and agree the bones of the site before adding any colour, typography or imagery. It's a much faster way to iron out any problems at this stage.

UI design
With the structure agreed, we move into full visual design; applying your brand, developing a design system with consistent components, and creating page templates that work across all devices. We'll start with the homepage concept and key templates, gather feedback, and refine from there. Everything is designed to be handed straight to our developer without anything being lost in translation.
