Front-end Web Developer

We’re looking to recruit a talented Front End Developer to join our expanding team at an exciting time for the business.
The role
We’re looking for a front-end developer with expertise in developing bespoke WordPress themes & plugins with an understanding of clean, lean, well-documented code.

Responsibilities
- Work with our development team to develop and deliver beautiful, functional digital solutions.
- Develop bespoke WordPress builds for a range of projects including eCommerce and functional portals.
- Help to maintain existing client and internal websites
- Day-to-day contact with account managers and our design team
Essential Skills (2+ years experience required) in:
- WordPress
- Custom theme development
- Custom plugin and functionality development
- Custom fields (ACF), post types & taxonomies
- Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of PHP
- Experience with Sass or SCSS
- Knowledge of popular JavaScript libraries/frameworks
- Responsive techniques and mobile-first builds
- Experience of using the Adobe Create Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/XD)
- Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools
Desirables (brownie points)
- Knowledge of other CMS platforms including Craft and headless platforms
- Experience working with APIs and integrations
- Experience of using CodeIgniter Framework
- Experience creating digital assets/web animations (Adobe After Effects/Adobe Animate or similar)
- Server/hosting management
- Awareness of SEO techniques
- Knowledge of Google Adwords/Social Ads/PPC
- Experience of using Google Analytics & reporting
- Exposure to accessibility standards
